Welcome to Covenant Fellowship
A regional body of confessional Presbyterian churches in Greater Houston
A Family of House Churches
When most people hear the word "church," they may picture a traditional building with a steeple, a cross, and rows of people gathered for a service.
Since our founding and establishment in 2016, Covenant Fellowship Church has run church services differently.
The New Testament gives us a picture of believers and their children gathering together in homes and within their local communities (Acts 2:42–47). The early Christians worshiped together, broke bread together, and served together.
At the center of all our churches is Jesus Christ. He is the true head of the Church, and we want everything we do, above all else, to point people to Him and His glory.
What We Believe
Our churches are Reformed in theology, embracing the historic Christian faith and the biblical truths expressed in the Reformed tradition.
We believe that our standing before God is entirely a work of God's grace. We are saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in the finished work of Christ alone (Eph. 2:8–9; Gal. 2:16).
Together, our churches subscribe to the Westminster Confession of Faith as our subordinate standard, while recognizing that Scripture itself is our final and infallible authority (Acts 17:11; 2 Tim. 3:16–17).
In doing so, we affirm the doctrine of clarity, the biblical worldview, postmillennialism, and exclusive psalmody.

Presbyterian
We believe Christ has given His Church a pattern for shepherding and caring for His people, and we believe Presbyterian government reflects that pattern.
Our house churches are organized congregations led by qualified elders who shepherd God's people together (Acts 14:23; 20:28; 1 Tim. 3:1–7; 1 Pet. 5:1–4). At the local level, elders serve together as a Session, while our churches are connected through Presbytery and the broader fellowship of our CFC family.
We value Presbyterian polity because it encourages shared leadership, accountability, and mutual care. No single pastor carries the weight of leading a church alone. Instead, our leaders serve together under the authority of Christ and His Word (Mark 10:42–45).
We also recognize the biblical office of deacon and the important role deacons play in caring for the practical needs of God's people (Acts 6:1–7; 1 Tim. 3:8–13).

Although we are made up of several congregations, we see ourselves as one family and want our gatherings to be places where people are known, loved, encouraged, and cared for.
Following worship, we continue our observance of the Lord's Day with Sunday School for all ages. After Sunday School, we share a meal together, reflecting the practice of the early church, which devoted itself to "the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers" (Acts 2:42).
We delight in the ordinary blessing of eating together, welcoming visitors, encouraging one another, and strengthening the bonds of Christian fellowship.
We believe following Christ was never meant to be a solitary experience. Scripture calls us to bear one another's burdens, rejoice with one another, pray for one another, and encourage one another toward greater faithfulness (Gal. 6:2; Rom. 12:15; Heb. 10:24–25).
